CALL FOR application to UEHAS exchange students (Master Progam)
Interdisciplinary Consortium on Urban Environment and Health in Asia (UEHAS)
Entry for October, 2015
Host University: Dept. of Urban Engineering and School of International Health, the University of Tokyo.
Period: Arrival on October 1, 2015; Departure on Jan 26, 2016 (4 months)
Application Deadline: May 17, 2015 (Skype Interview Tue, May 20 at 08:00-10:00 AM Bandung time)
For: Master Program Students
Support by UEHAS
1. Round-trip air ticket (fixed date of departure/return)
2. Accomodation to be paid from JASSO scholarship
3. Acquisition of the official documents for your VISA application.
4. A position of “special auditor” at the University of Tokyo.
(It would include insurance to your academic activity at the university, and access to the university library and research facilities, etc.)
5. Tuition fee waiver according to MOU between the University of Tokyo and your university.

Your own expenses
1. Visa application fee
2. Living allowance, e.g. food, during stay in Tokyo
3. Transportation fees from/to an international airport and for travelling in Japan
4. Any other costs to participate in this program.
Activities
1. Attend a few classes (in English) provided by Department of Urban Engineering (DUE) and/or School of International Health (SIH), The University of Tokyo (UT).
2. Research activities under the supervision of a Japanese host advisor.
* It may take at least 2 months for considering courses of which credits can be transferrable from UT to your university. It is advised to consult your university in advance.
Applicant eligibility (please refer to the selection guideline in details)
1. Full-time, regular student of a member university of UEHAS
2. GPA of 3.3 or higher. GPA is counted as A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1.
3. English-proficiency equivalent to paper-based TOEFL 520 or higher within recent three years.
4. The applicant must be in good health (medical checking certificate is required).

1. Application form(Next sheet in this EXCEL file).
2. Curriculum Vitae including publication list.
3. Research and/or working experience (800 words on a separate sheet)
4. Research/Study proposal (800 words on a separate sheet)
5. Official transcripts from college-level institutions and from the university the applicant currently belongs to
6. A copy of TOEFL score, TOEIC score, IELTS score, or other equivalent test scores (an official test score record must include ID photo)”
7. Certificate of health (completed by the examining physician) or a copy of physical examination certificate taken within six months
